Gintoki Inspired Wrap Skirt

I made this skirt about a year ago, inspired by Gintoki's robe. It doesn't fit too well (it's the first thing I've designed and made and darn I don't think I'm going through THAT again, lol) but it could also be because of weight loss and stuff.

But I wore it for the first time at AX 2011. :3

The swirls were very difficult. Those had to be done by hand. I couldn't do Gintoki's elaborate pattern. 0__0;

I've always wanted to have clothing that is inspired by an anime, book, or show but not blatantly so-- I've always wanted something that you can still go and wear everyday without getting weird stares. Maybe I'll continue with this hobby if I have more time. ^^
